Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin with Skymark Airlines.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Small dogs, cats, birds, and other small animals (hamsters, rabbits, squirrels, etc.) can travel as checked baggage with Skymark Airlines if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 70 lbs (32 kg). Only 1 pet is permitted to travel in each carrier, except very small birds. The fee for transporting pets as checked baggage is 5000 JPY per direction.
Carrier Guidelines
Skymark Airlines rent carriers for free to canine passengers. The smallest size is 12" x 18" x 10" (31 cm x 47 cm x 25 cm) and weighs 3 lbs (1.5kg); medium is 16" x 21" x 15" (42 cm x 53 cm x 40 cm) and weighs 5 lbs (2.5kg); and large is 20" x 27" x 19" (51 cm x 69 cm x 48 cm) in size and weigh more than 12 lbs (5.5kg).
Other Restrictions
The following breeds of snub-nosed dogs are not permitted to fly with Skymark: Pug, Shin Tzu, Boston Terrier, Pekingese, Chin, Boxer, Bulldog, and Tibetan Spaniel.
