Only a certain number of pets are allowed on each flight. If the number of pets exceeds the quota on a particular flight, or if the aircraft configuration does not allow for animal transportation, SmartLynx can refuse transportation. Pets are not allowed to be seated on the 1st row and on emergency exit rows.

Small dogs and cats are welcome to travel in the cabin with SmartLynx Airlines if the pet and carrier do not exceed the combined weight of 17 lbs (8 kg). Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 pet onto the aircraft. The animal must be completely inside their carrier and placed under the seat in front for the whole journey. SmartLynx does not charge a pet fee for animals in the cabin.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel as checked baggage with SmartLynx Airlines.

If animals exceed the maximum weight restrictions to travel in the cabin, SmartLynx may accept your pet as cargo instead. Contact the Customer Service Team at (+371) 67207392 for availability and information on restrictions.

For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 21" x 17" x 10" (55 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm), must meet requirements set out by the IATA regulations, and soft carriers are advised to fit under the seat. The bag must be made for transportation of cats or dogs, and it must not leak at the base. For pets traveling as cargo, owners should enquire about specific carrier restrictions during booking.
