Passengers should book their pet a spot with SmartLynx Airlines Customer Service Team at (+371) 67207392. The measurements of the carrier as well as the total combined weight including the pet must be given at the time of your reservation. The airline has the right to refuse animals if the carrier is too big.
Pets in the Cabin
Small dogs and cats are welcome to travel in the cabin with SmartLynx Airlines if the pet and carrier do not exceed the combined weight of 22 lbs (10 kg). Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 pet onto the aircraft. The animal must be completely inside their carrier and placed under the seat in front for the whole journey. SmartLynx does not charge a pet fee for animals in the cabin.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel as checked baggage with SmartLynx Airlines.
Pets in Cargo
If animals exceed the maximum weight restrictions to travel in the cabin, SmartLynx may accept your pet as cargo instead. You can contact the Customer Service Team at (+371) 67207392 for availability and information on restrictions.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 21" x 17" x 10" (55 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm). They must meet requirements set out by the IATA regulations. A soft bag is easier to fit under the seat than a hard box. The bag must be made for transportation of cats or dogs, and it must not leak at the base. For pets traveling as cargo, owners should enquire about specific carrier restrictions during booking.
