    Awful service

Don’t recommend traveling with your dog unless it’s really necessary. Poor customer service, limited facilities, unfriendly staff.

    Challenging but Do-able

Calling Swiss Air to book your pet is very challenging. We called three times to confirm all the details were correct for our one small dog flying in cabin round trip (4 flights). I even had an email from Swiss confirming this. Regardless, when we got to the gate it said that we were booked to have our dog in check-in luggage. It’s OK because they were able to correct it when we checked in.

The staff on all of our flights were strict about keeping the dog in his carrier under the seat throughout the duration of the flight. But our little guy is quiet and chill, so it was easy to keep him hidden on a lap under the blanket when he wasn’t in his carrier.

The seats are very small and were very tight for the dog carrier and myself. Especially on the local Europe airplanes.

We flew from JFK to Geneva to Palma on the outbound and Palma to Zürich to JFK on the return. I don’t recommend flying through Geneva - surprisingly not a great airport.

Worse company to fly with dogs!!

You cannot reserve on the same reservation so you have to call them. The customer service agents are quite rude, they cannot care less if the call cuts in the middle of the booking, they never call you back and you have to start all over again. It's being 3hs since I'm trying to book a flight for my dog. Before that I called customer service probably 3 times to double-check I had everything needed. Well every time I called was the same

    Not perfect but it works

To book a pet is a hassle but it works. They are also not specially friendly with our little friends and stress a lot about the position of the pet bag on the floor.

    No breed restriction and requirement

I just have a flight from Zurich to Miami with my dog. It was the first. I would point out that there is no restriction about breed and no specific requirement for transport dogs like Amstaff / Pit Bull or else. Don't need specific kennel. Every breeds are treated in the same way. The staff is friendly.
It was a real good expérience.
