Pets in the Cabin
Small pets can travel in the cabin with their owners if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg). Unlike many other airlines, Transavia allows you to bring 1 pet carrier and 1 carry-on into the cabin with you.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Pets who exceed the restrictions to travel in the cabin may be transported as checked baggage instead. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 165 lbs (75 kg). The fee for this service is 60 EUR each way.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 18" L x 12" W x 10" D (47 cm x 30 cm x 27 cm). They must be sealed, have proper ventilation, have plastic windows to look inside, and have enough space for them to move around inside. For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must not exceed 40" x 27" x 30" (102 cm x 69 cm x 76 cm).
Animals must be at least 3 months and 21 days old to travel with Transavia. Snub-nosed dogs (pugs, boxers, bulldogs, Pekinese, and Persian cats) are only permitted to travel inside the cabin. Dogs that Transavia consider to be 'fighting dogs' are not permitted to fly, including Staffordshire Terriers or American Staffordshire Terriers, Mastiffs, Tosas, and Rottweilers.
