Entry Requirements

Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Armenia with your pet:

  • Armenia is a high risk country for rabies. Before receiving an import permit, travelers must obtain 2 pictures of their pet's front teeth, a CDC Rabies Vaccination and Microchip Record (attached), a serologic titer from an approved laboratory and a passport photo of the owner. Once these items are obtained, apply for a permit for your pet to return to the U.S. at this link. For further guidance on importing your pet to Armenia, contact the CDC directly at cdcanimalimports@cdc.gov
  • If you are traveling to Armenia from the U.S., a health certificate from a USDA Accredited Veterinarian within 10 days of travel is required for entry.
  • Vaccinations for Rabies, Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Parvovirus, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Adenovirus infections and Leptospirosis are required for entry.
  • Pet travelers from the EU can use a pet passport for travel instead.
