Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Bulgaria with your pet:
- Pets moving from the Republic of Bulgaria into the Member States of the European Union must be accompanied by an EU Pet Passport issued by an official veterinarian.
- Pets moved and transported from third countries into the Republic of Bulgaria must be accompanied by a veterinary certificate issued by an official veterinarian, as well as a passport.
- Four-legged travelers from the U.S. to Bulgaria will also need a pet microchip, a valid rabies vaccination with proof and an EU Health Certificate obtained by a USDA Accredited Veterinarian.
Quarantine Information
Pets being transported into Bulgaria are not required to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
