Not a great hotel
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western San Bernardino SouthI didn't love my stay here. The check-in took a full 10 minutes even though no one was ahead of me. The employee was very slow and not remotely friendly. The room was OK but I wished I had opted for a nicer hotel. There were a lot of decent areas for my dog to sniff about, though: green lawns and a woodsy area. I enjoyed the grab-and-go brown-bag breakfast, but overall wouldn't stay here again.

I don't recommend
Swiss Holiday LodgeThe staff was very nice, and there was a large area to walk a dog, but that was all I liked. This hotel needs to be updated very badly. The bathroom was modern, although very small, but the room and the bed spreads were right out of the '70s. The room was small, smelled "earthy" and didn't feel super clean. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. Not sure if there are many pet-friendly options in Mt. Shasta, but I would avoid staying here again.

Great hotel for the value
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lathrop - South Stockton an IHG HotelI would definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and efficient, the grounds felt very safe and great for dog-walking, and overall the room was very clean and pleasant. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The location was very handy, right off I-5.
