Ramada Plaza by Wyndham PortlandEasy to find, well maintained. The two restaurants, Volcano and Stacks, were both good and conveniently attached to the hotel. Strictly speaking, there is a $50 pet fee. However, it's waived when you leave if the dogs behave.

Motel 6 Frederick MD - Fort DetrickThey have started renovating this hotel, but our room was tired, with a worn out tub and non-draining sink. It appeared that the top floor was a welfare hotel.
