Dirty And Smelly

First let me start by saying the staff was very pleasant. The hotel is non smoking. I do no smoke but the room smelled like someone had previously done so. The dresser had dust like particles which indicate it had not been cleaned well. The mirror was streaky. I did not have maid service the entire time which was my choice. I got clean towels myself. On the last night of my stay I went to bed early because I was traveling the next day. I only slept on the side of the bed that was closest to the bathroom.

The first gross thing I saw on the bed was balls like you get on sweaters and a very long black hair. I got some tissue to pick up the hair and flushed it. I will also say I decided at the last minute not to bring my dog. About 9:30 I was awakened by dogs barking across the hall from me. At first I thought they were just excited to see their owner. Well this went on for 3 hours. It was a large dog and a small dog that were non stop barking. They had been left in the room by themselves. I called the front seat and was told they had already put a notice on the door. Needless to say I could not sleep with the incessant barking.

When I checked out at 4;45 am I spoke with the desk clerk and said I felt I needed to be compensated for paying for the room and not being able to get my sleep. She instructed me to call the manager TJ and talk to him. He told me the best he could do was give me 20% discount of which I have yet to receive. I will never recommend Red Roof Inn to anyone and especially this location.
