Good food, very dog friendly

Stopped here for a quick dinner. The weather was lousy so they weren't that busy. They offered us the enclosed porch or inside near the porch. Waitress was friendly and food came out promptly. Beers and food were delicious and everyone wanted to say hi to our dogs! Will definitely return here when we are back in the area.

Thermostat broke

PRO: They had dog beds, treats and bowls in the room. Hotel was very cute and looked like it would be lovely in summer. Pool was fine for my teens and breakfast was adequate. Room was large with sliders to outside for dog walking and micro/fridge plus sink area was a bonus. CON: It was an unusually warm evening and we were going to sit by the fire pit with a glass of wine after a long drive but it wouldn't turn on. Wifi wasn't great.

DEALBREAKER: thermostat was set at 70 when we entered room and it was warm! (It was almost 50 outside). We turned thermostat down to 65 and went to get dinner, came back and it was 73 in room. Turned heat to off, opened window and turned on a/c unit. Called front desk. Night worker said it's a known problem and nothing he could do about it but would notify maintenance in am. He brought me a tiny fan that didn't get cool. Spent a sleepless night tossing and turning as even w/ window open and a/c on room never got below 71. Reported it again in am at check out and got a very dismissive "yeah we know."

My son is going to school in the area and this could have been a great place for us when visiting or dropping off/picking up but driving home tonight for 7 hours after no sleep was a deal breaker.

Great food and very dog friendly

Made the 30 minute drive from our hotel and we were not disappointed!
Super friendly staff, spectacular views and they brought out ice water and bones for our pup.
We had salads, spinach dip, burgers and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was very fresh and tasty, you could tell it was homemade.
We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!
