Convenient location
Baymont by Wyndham TehachapiPlace was very clean, and rooms were a good value. Staff was friendly. There are a few grassy areas for the dogs to go, but pretty limited. Rooms are quiet, but outside there are lots of truck, freeway, and train noises, which were distracting for our dogs. It took awhile for them to get used to the noise, and then decide to focus on doing their business. Some dogs, who don’t mind noise and distraction might do better than ours here.

Convenient and clean
Best Western Petaluma InnI would really like to give this place a higher rating, since the staff is super nice, and it seems they are really trying to provide a good value. Rooms and property are very clean. My main issue is there is only a very narrow gravel strip, and a little artificial turf for dogs on the property. Rooms are quiet, but the property is between a busy street and a freeway, so there is a lot of distracting traffic noise, without many places to take the dogs. Walking the dogs to the adjoining, slightly quieter neighborhood required walking them on the sidewalk of a very busy street for a block. I think there is room on the property to expand and enhance and maybe fence-off the extremely bare-bones dogs area, which would greatly improve the experience for those of us traveling with dogs.

Convenient, good value
Quality Inn on Historic Route 66Very clean room, with grassy areas to walk the dogs. Shady, grassy patio areas with tables was well cared for. Staff was very nice. We were lucky to get a room on the quieter side of the property. Would definitely stay there again with our dogs.

great place
Inn at Palm SpringsConvenient location, hotel is nicely set up, staff very friendly and accommodating. Great patio and pool. Clever placement of water features to minimize traffic sounds from street. Nice walking in the neighborhood on hill above hotel. We stayed there twice—on the way in and then out of CA, and this was the place our dog liked the very best! Will definitely stay there again.

Convenient
Harbor House InnRoom was clean, well set up, and had a very nice bay view. Very convenient location for walking around town, and close to waterfront. Our dog liked the place too.
