Litter Box
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines West CliveStayed here overnight with our small dog. Yes, it was pet friendly, but it smelled terrible. Both our room and the entire second floor smelled very strongly like an old litter box. The window of our room was broken and would not lock. There was a stopper on it so that it could not open all the way, but there was plenty of room for a person to come in or child to fall out. I think it’s fair to expect basic security. The lobby was nice and breakfast food options ok but not great. I would not recommend this hotel.

Insane Pet Fees
Hotel MonteleoneStayed here for one night while traveling across the country. What a mistake! We made a reservation after checking their website and seeing pets were allowed. There was no pet fee listed. When we got there we found out that they had added a ridiculously high pet fee to our reservation, but wouldn’t let us cancel without paying cancellation fees. Save your money and stay elsewhere!
