Excellent experience
Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, an IHG HotelGreat location, very dog friendly. Lafayette Square nearby for walks. Staff friendly and helpful, room huge and well-appointed. My dog loved it there!

Beautiful setting
Bluegreen’s Bayside Resort and SpaThis is a beautiful setting, but the hotel rooms are merely ok, and the $150 pet fee is ridiculous. We were charged the full $150 even though our stay was only one night! Very nasty front desk staff upon arrival, and same unhelpful person would not assist with ringing the hotel restaurant (“What, you couldn’t find them on Open Table?”). Poolside dining consisted of sandwiches, which were tasty, and waitstaff was very dog friendly, but meals were offered up with cello-wrapped plastic utensils and grimy laminated menus. In other words, nothing scary or terrible, but not at all living up to the “Resort & Spa” standard or price tag. On the plus side, lots of grass, dog waste bins, and outdoor tables at pool bar for dog companions.
