Modest, basic lodging
Family Budget Inn BethanyNo-frills, clean (but well-worn/used) facility with friendly, efficient staff. Met our essential needs at convenient location with easy access to the interstate & amenities.

One step up from a dump
Days Inn by Wyndham TroyGood points: Front desk personnel friendly & pleasant; rooms were an easy care laminate. Negative: First room telephone hadn’t any cord, shower didn’t drain, AC condenser unit leaked. Flooding room to point we were assigned a second room, which didn’t have phone or waste baskets. Only one working electric outlet, door did not lock, reeked of Mary Jane. Both rooms had very stained linens, hair in towels, missing amenities, and were heavily damaged/worn.

Lovely
Drury Inn MobileDrury remains my preferred motel. Nice dinner & breakfast buffets, pleasant staff, clean & plenty of linens; neat, clean,& well-kept rooms. Would have preferred some laminate flooring, for dogs who can’t wait for a walk. And, I would have liked a walk-in shower in our handicap-accessible room.
