Not dog friendly, and rude staff
City VineyardI have passed by this place several times with my dog, who is also train service dog, and I have seen plenty of people eating on their patio. Today I decided I would stop and have a nice glass of wine on the pier as it is apparently 50゚ which is basically Spring in New York. After sitting outside for 15 minutes not getting served I knocked on the window to be greeted by a staff he was really rude saying that I had to talk to the hostess because no one saw me outside. I told him I had my dog with me and wanted to enjoy the nice weather on the patio. He said I could come in and eat with my dog either at the indoor lounge or at the bar. I came inside and decided take a seat at the bar. Meanwhile it's worth noting that I moved here a month ago, and my dog is really well trained so he sat next to me at the bar. I then had another staff come up to me saying that she did not know why her colleagues said that but no dogs are allowed inside because they heard it was a health hazard. I asked even service dogs, and was transparent about forgetting his paperwork which you're required to shown in some States and she said it was OK. But I then became the center of public attention with several people who work there and patrons who I did not know and her making it a commotion and felt extremely uncomfortable and not welcome so I said it's OK I don't want any trouble I move here a month ago so I will just leave. It was the most awkward service I've ever had an awkward experience I've ever had. I also let them know that I would be updating their status on bring Fido because they are listed as dog friendly, but that clearly is not the case.
