Not great
Motel 6 Niantic CT - New LondonBeen here before a few times. Booked Saturday night so extra $100 (double usual rate). Made reservation 4 days ahead, arrived just before 6 m, but only room available was on 2nd floor. No refrig, no microwave, no coffeemaker. Traveling w/ dog from FL to M. Have baggage and dog stuff to lug up stairs. Room was nice. Has grass to walk dog. Said couldn't cancel (if I didn't like room) bc booked thru 3rd party. Not many choices in the area, especially after long 8 hr drive.

Decent stay
Motel 6 Laurel DC - Washington NortheastA/C worked but couldn't tell what was what, no markings. Big bathroom, shower sink toilet all in one, but no tub, so didn't use. No refrig, no coffeemaker, no microwave. Clean, small room. wifi, tv worked. Front desk was friendly. Felt bit nervous loading and unloading car, but on 1st floor so easier.

Motel 6 Walterboro SCGreat big grass space for dog to run around in. Direct exterior access to room, so can unload easily, Laminate floor (NO carpet!), good condition shower/bath etc. Only wish had coffeemaker in room, but coffee available in front.

Almost great
Red Roof Inn Roanoke RapidsReally love this place, lots of fun people stay here, great amenities. All rooms are interior so even on 1st floor you're carrying all your dog stuff up & down the hall & over to your car.

Econo Lodge SelmaWell, it was raining and I got off at the wrong Selma exit, so I was grumpy, but luckily there's a road that runs parallel to 95 that takes you all the way back, even to Carolina premier outlets. Room has all the essentials: cold a/c, hot water, clean sheets. But traveling with dog, it has what is most important - NO CARPET! Which should be the definition of "pet friendly" imo (I like to be able to clean up after my dog). room has nice wood floors, refrig, 1 cup coffee maker, lots of grass, friendly front desk. I prefer a bit more modern decor, but hey, it has a nice big armchair with ottoman that covered with my dog's quilt made a great dog bed.

Motel 6 East Brunswick NJEntrance not on SR 18, and no left turns allowed off SR 18, so a bit frustrating, But you can u-turn at light, entrance a couple blocks down Edgeboro Rd. A big place, lots of trees, easy to get back onto 95. Room is fine, wood floor, frig, but no grass, no coffee maker. Front desk friendly, busy.

Red Roof Inn HardeevilleJust north of Savannah, so less traffic, easy to get to. Room ready, early check-in 2 pm, met with blast of cool air, wood floor, lots of grass, 4 cup coffeemaker, frig. Only wish was outdoor seating for breakfast, so can bring the dog.
