Missoula in heatwave!
Motel 6 Missoula MTFantastic front desk, warm and helpful. Newer Motel 6 so that’s nice. Dog friendly as there were other pups staying. It was 100 degrees and Missoula was all booked up so happy to have a room for the night. Apparently, rooms with microwave and fridge is 5 dollars more. We would have gladly paid but didn’t see that option when reserving so be warned.
Oasis in the city
Element Omaha Midtown CrossingStayed at Element after a long drive through snowy weather. The front desk person couldn't have been more helpful and professional. The rooms are great as was the breakfast. Will look for other Element hotels on our travels from now on.
Averagely fine
Best Western Sawtooth Inn & SuitesThere aren't a lot of options on that stretch around Twin Falls so Sawtooth Inn and Suites is a good fall back. It's average in quality and the check in was staffed by a trainee so took a long time.
Corporate hip
Aloft Denver Airport at Gateway ParkThere's something easy about having all aloft hotels being exactly the same. We knew it would be clean, well staffed, with a decent bar in the lobby. It's great to not have to hunt hard for a spot to stay the night on a road trip. You know what you'll get and it's solid.
Hip spot
Moxy Minneapolis UptownMoxy hotels have a hip design, fun vibe with bar and games in lobby. Pet fee was a bit steep at $50/stay but otherwise good choice if you want to avoid downtown or the suburbs.
great choice for off the interstate
Aloft Cleveland AirportStayed there to and from east coast. Aloft hotels are great for dogs (welcoming, no fee) and great to have a bar for drinks after a long day of driving.
Attentive staff and clean rooms
La Quinta by Wyndham GilletteJust what we needed after a long drive running from weather. Got a call from the front desk asking if we were en route as it was getting late. Nice touch
New and Friendly
