Terrific stay!

This is a new hotel and it shows! Everything is immaculate, bright and cheerful. Dog rooms are on 2nd floor if that may bother anyone; our dog has excellent elevator etiquette and gets a kick out of it. Friendly reception, great dinner at their off-lobby restaurant; very comfy bed, clean bathroom with glass-door shower. Right off 95. Will definitely return.

Pleasant experience

First floor room was large and clean, and a comfy bed and nice bathroom. Really pretty property and loads of open grassy areas to walk the pet (leashed) as buildings abut a golf course. Convenient access in & out from room. Had room service from their on-site tavern: a fancy grilled cheese sandwich with best fries, and reasonably priced. Had a very relaxing evening with our dog after long day in the car. Will return. Way better than the usual chain hotels we’ve stayed at off 95.

Would not stay again

Of all the pet-friendly hotels we have chosen along I-95 during our trips to FL, this one was our only poor choice. First, the positives: the pet area had waste bags and a pooper scooper (but was small & not fenced); the 2 queen beds were comfy; the to-go breakfast of eggs, sausage & toast was okay; the lobby breakfast nook was small but clean.

The negatives: this is an old 2-story MOTEL, not a hotel; we requested a King bed & were told none available even though the motel wasn’t even 1/10 occupied; we were given a room way in the rear, clearly because it was “pet” room; the metal door to the room was all scratched and dented; the room was so tiny it caused me to feel claustrophobic (the 2 queens left little space to maneuver around room); the mustard yellow walls, dim lighting and bare floors gave the room a dreary feeling; the bathroom was so small that entry made closing the door tricky; the toilet seat was the lowest to the floor I have ever seen. I didn’t dare test out the shower in such a small bathroom. We went out to dinner just to get out of the room for a couple hours even though we were dog-tired and just wanted to relax after a long drive in a comfy room.

Also, we had to sign a multi-paragraph form containing various dog rules and agreeing to liability, which I’ve not encountered at any other hotel. The motel is located on an extremely busy road (exit 130) and you have to make a risky U-turn to get to the motel. All in all, I wish that we had done a U-turn in their driveway and found another property. Sorry, I much prefer leaving positive reviews. If you like motels and aren’t claustrophobic, you might feel differently about this property.

Best experience yet

Check-in and breakfast staff were super friendly and pleasant. Pet-friendly room was extremely clean and spacious, and beds were very comfy. Breakfast buffet had lots of options and was delicious. The seating area was clean and cheerful. Area around building to walk the dogs was grassy and pretty. Will definitely make this a regular stop on trip to/from Florida.

Disappointing repeat visit

We have stayed here on prior road trips and found it to be a clean, pet-friendly, easy-access hotel. Unfortunately, last night’s stay was a huge disappointment. As we settled into the room after 10 hours of stressful driving, we hoped to decompress by watching the Olympics on TV before bed. The tv turned on briefly and then immediately lost its signal. The desk clerk said that the tv system was being worked on and channels being added, but would be restored. This was at 7P!, and was not even restored by morning when we checked out. More annoying, however, was the bathroom door which was out of its hinges and dragging on the floor, causing it to make a god-awful loud noise at every entry to the bathroom, thus waking up the other spouse several times during the night. Due to this visit, we will not be returning.

Clean & pet-friendly

Lobby and room were very clean. Friendly and efficient check-in. Got the rest we needed in comfy beds. Quiet & peaceful. Just off highway.

Clean & friendly

Lobby & room very clean. Good COVID protocol. Extremely friendly reception/check-in. No dedicated area for pet-walking or poop bags, but were grassy areas around lot that were adequate.
