A Tail of Two Hotels

An odd all around experience. Front desk only provided one key upon check in and advised to everyone waiting they were short on keys. Fifteen minutes later while in the lobby the same desk agent was handing out 2 keys. I had locked my key in the room and the agent had to leave the front desk to let me in my room? There was hot water at the sink in the room but no hot water in the shower. The breakfast area was a mess, there appears to be no attendant or someone to spot clean when needed. There are grassy areas for the fur kids on the side and between the hotel and Cracker Barrel. The property is updated, but there is a disconnect between various aspects.
