Great location and large suites
The Gonzo InnThis hotel was VERY comfortable (best on our road trip). We stayed in a large one-bedroom suite that was clean, well-appointed, and left us not wanting for anything. The cafe attached to the lobby has a wonderful breakfast, really good. Next time we go to Moab, won't hesitate to go back! Oh, and our dog was happy too :)

Adequate for overnight pit stop
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western PriceWe spent one night here to limit driving. The property is older. The room was adequate for one night but stuffy. The continental breakfast... well, they tried. The town itself is in the middle of the desert, not attractive, and economically depressed. The Holiday Inn Express next door looked like a newer building and probably better run.

Great location but poor service
Hotel Milo Santa BarbaraJust checked out today with our family (room with 2 queen beds). Pros: great location across the street from the beach, outside fire pits lit in the evening. CONS: for the price we expected better amenities and service. It started when we checked in - front desk clerk seemed tired/wasn't friendly at all. Valet service only for $30 a day or you can park in neighborhood (which we did) as their valet had walked away/could not be found at check in and street parking behind hotel easy. The room we had (Room 108) was very dark, bathroom small with very limited counter/storage space. Noise carries from upper rooms to lower rooms, so I suggest you book an upper unit if possible. We have stayed at several inns within the area for several years, but this was our first time at this inn. We are used to being provided complimentary wine/cheese in the evening and continental breakfast. Perhaps this is a result of the pandemic and cost-cutting, but this in did not provide either (with higher costs than we are used to paying, I might add). In the future, we will be staying at our tried and true inns just half a block away with better customer service/amenities for the price.

Perfect
Marina Beach MotelWe love staying here: half a block from the beach, comfortable rooms, simple but good breakfast, and the staff are very friendly. Plus during Covid that each room has a separate entrance and heat/air is a unit in each room (no central air system). Only suggestion: please get better coffee. Thanks. We’ll be back
