I have a three year old lab named Jake who loves fetching tennis balls, swimming, running off leash in the woods, and hanging out at the bar.

Beautiful, watch out for horses
Airline North State Park TrailThis is a nice flat path with plenty of parking and forest along either side. Lots of people use it for hiking. It's also very popular for horses- our dog is horse reactive, so we don't take him here. If your dog is ok with horses, it's a great place.
Good food by the water with your dog
The BridgeWe brought our dog here after playing at the beach at Napatree Point. Very good food, and the patio on the canal is beautiful. They'll bring water for your dog if you ask. You do have to walk through the main part of the restaurant to get to the patio.
Great spot for dogs
Jealous MonkWe brought our dog here after a nice day of fetch at Copp Park in Groton and walking around Olde Mistick Village. Dogs are allowed in the beer garden, which has lots of seating and some fire pits. Go in to the bar and let them know you're outside with a dog, and they'll send a server out. Super dog friendly, great food and an extensive beer list. Perfect Sunday afternoon spot.
