Better Than Expected

Collina's Greenway

Collina’s has minimal curb appeal, in a strip mall on a busy street. But we found it delightful! Dogs are accommodated with outside tables in front of large doors that must open during the summer but were closed when we visited. So you are sitting on the sidewalk more or less. Yet the welcoming atmosphere made up for such drawbacks. Our ebullient waiter brought water with ice for Washoe and proudly pointed out the Bring Fido decal on the restaurant’s door. We had a calamari appetizer and a marvelous Greek style pizza. Although we brought our own wine ($4 setup fee for two people), a small wine selection is available on premises. Odd that the self-description above mentions a “fence.” We did not see one. A great oasis on a heavily trafficked street.

Relaxing And Satisfying

Shaggy's Biloxi Beach

Beach casual with friendly attentive staff and solid food. Bit of a Caribbean vibe. The kind of place that puts a roll of paper towels on the table to serve as napkins. Great for families and dogs who need to kick back after a not summer drive.

Adequate, But That’s All

La Quinta by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell

La Quinta is officially pet-friendly but this location puts forth little effort. There is a poop disposal canister at one extreme corner of the parking lot but not a blade of grass in sight, just a margin of pine needles and weed barrier tarps. Most of the area available for landscaping was instead covered in pumice-like rocks., The bag dispenser was empty but someone had helpfully left a roll of bags on the canister lid. Are they missing the little key that opens the box? The lobby and breakfast area were small and cramped, but I give the staff credit for keeping the food items well-supplied. No pet fee is the main consolation.

We All Loved It!

Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte Northlake

From the large gleaming lobby to the landscaped pet walking area, this Drury Inn was a pure pleasure for humans and dogs. Staff was cheerful and helpful at all times. Complimentary breakfast area was roomy, modern and clean, offering scrambled eggs and other hot items. Our room was on the second floor but right by the stairwell for quick access to the pet area. There are restrictions on dogs in the common areas but staff was not militant about the situation. If a pet fee is necessary to support such ease and comfort, we can live with it.
