Pricey and no dog amenities
The Gould Hotel$280 for a small 13'x13' queen bedroom. Small park across the street, but no doggie bags or waste baskets.
A favorite stop
Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga FallsLove this hotel; a favorite on our many cross-country trips. Friendly, competent staff who love dogs. Lovely rooms. Great restaurant overlooking the falls, and large grass park that adjoins the hotel.
So-so
La Quinta by Wyndham TrinidadDon't recall any designated areas for dogs. Nothing fancy about hotel.
Creepy area
The Richards HouseInside is nice, but cluttered and repairs are iffy. No dog amenities. Fortunately, we found a city park down the street but no doggie bags or waste cans.
No Designated Pet Area
Hilton Phoenix ChandlerLovely hotel with friendly staff and surprisingly very good restaurant. $110 terrific offseason rate and nice swimming pool. BUT could find no designated pet area for our dog to do his business and no doggie bag station or place to deposit used doggie bag.
Mismanaged
Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the CommonsGreat location near Ithaca Commons shopping and restaurants, but poorly managed. Staff confused and easily overwhelmed. Despite pet fee, no pet amenities.
Nice
La Quinta by Wyndham North PlatteHotel Okay: clean and friendly. What was special was that, even through hotel did have much in terms of pet-friendly amenities, adjoining the hotel, and bordering South Platts River was an old golf course. Great place to walk and let dogs run off leash.
Run down
Baymont by Wyndham Michigan CityRun down hotel. Not particularly friendly staff. Surprised they maintain their Baymont designation. No pet amenities.
No pet amenities
Hotel Indigo Cleveland-Beachwood an IHG HotelNice hotel, but other than an unmonitored bowl of biscuits and water by entrance, no pet amenities. No pet area or poop bags or garbage cans for waste.
Great town and great place to stay
Sleep Inn & Suites Fort ScottFriendliest greeting we received from hotel in our cross country drive. Clean and spacious. Be sure to eat at Crooners.
Take great find
Reed's LodgeClean, well-Run motel. No doggie treats or water bowl, but terrific large penned in grass area the size of a football field right behind hotel; town’s combination dog park and playground.
