Clean, Trees, Nearby Parking
Karen A. Nelson Memorial Dog ParkLove this place. The area for small dogs is big with some trees and a few benches. Even on wet days it doesn’t get gross and muddy. Lots of running space. My dog loves it. There’s senior parking right next to the entry gates. BTW they mow Tuesday mornings.

Good For Big Dogs - Not For Small
Runway Dog Exercise Area - Permanently ClosedMuddy areas everywhere - especially at entry gates and around benches. Our 12 lb dog walked through the gap underneath the small dog gate without even ducking. Gate closures are messed up. I’m sure if you have a big dog it’s great. 95% of the park is for the big guys and their park is pretty nice. Parking is close by - big plus.

Great Park With Gates Issue
Dog Exercise Area at Mitchell ParkBeautiful big, fenced, off-leash park and now has gates for small and large dogs. But the new gate hinges failed and the magnetic closures don’t work. AND the small dog gates has gaps so large that my dog has escaped. They have no seating area or shade tees in the small area. Looks like they’d live a donor to plant some trees. Buy benches, and fix the gates. Small dogs unite!!

Lots Of Walking
Homestead Howl Dog ParkThe place looks nice but never got to the actual dog park because it’s so far away from the parking lot. Wish we would have known.
