MayaWe ordered our dinner from the Maya Restaurant on our first night staying at The Westin. We were very disappointed as the food was overpriced and the portions were small. If you are staying at the Westin you will likely want to try them out, but trust me, go elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance that were much better.

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon Vail ValleyOkay if you are like me, you have searched and searched for the best place to stay while in Avon. I finally settled on The Westin and I'm so glad I did. Our 5 night stay with our dog was awesome. Friendy people, great service and lots a green space for potty breaks. The hotel by the way is valet only and we only used our vehicle maybe 3 times during our stay, since there are lots of restaurants within walking distance and things to do. A dog bed/pillow, food and water bowl are provided at check-in, if needed. We did have 2 minor issues during our stay and I contacted the front desk and they responded appropriately. Our room was very spacious, clean and our mountain view was beautiful. I highly recommend staying at The Westin.

Avon Bakery and Deli
Avon Bakery & DeliWe stopped by on our morning walk with our dog. I really would not call this a pet friendly spot. Husband went inside and purchased a couple of pastries while I waited outside. There is one very small table with two chairs very close to the entrance, so I guess this is why they are calling it pet friendly. I will say however, that our pastries were very good.

Vin48Had dinner during happy hour on the patio with our pooch. They did provide a water bowl which is always nice. There was plenty of patio seating and the food and service were great.
