Dirty beach
Dauphin Island BeachWe went with our dog and did not really like the beach. It was disappointing to see the water dirty, with tons of seaweed and the walk from parking to the beach is far. It was hot and we only stayed for like 30min. We had been to Pensacola beach the day before and would rather make that extra drive to Pensacola for a clean beach.
Good dog beach
Pensacola Beach West Dog ParkWe decided to go on July 5th, there was plenty of space not many people, and our dog got in the water so much she did not want to leave. We enjoyed it, but they definitely need to add restrooms and showers as that is a must if you have kids, which we did. Thankfully they did not need to use the restroom.
Good place to dine with dogs
Red Fish Blue FishWe enjoyed a sunny day out in the patio with our dog. We were greeted and the server brought a water bowl for our dog, one thing is they do not have any thing that my dog could eat like in other restaurants we had been to. It would be great if they had at least something they could cook up for dogs. It is a little pricey, and the food portions are small compared to other places.
Pet friendly
Four Points by Sheraton AlexandriaThis hotel is pet friendly, but would rather stay at La Quinta. The hotel room was small, some people had dogs without leash, at the point that a dog pooped near the breakfast area and the owner did not want to clean up after it. The hotel seems to be undergoing some renovations and the breakfast area was half empty and lacked beverages. The personnel will need a lot more improvement to enforce the use of having dogs on leash and pet owners cleaning up after their pets.
Not pet friendly
