Spacious
Middlesex Fells ReservationThe field is connected to a reservation for hiking. It is technically an on leash reservation but many people walk without it. Park rangers will come buy and tell you to put the dog back on leash, but I have only experienced this once out of many times going.
I love bringing my dog here as there is lots of space for him to run and it is not confined. I see many people bring their puppies to teach them off leash commands and how to follow a pack.

Hit or Miss
Dog Park at Danehy ParkI also agree with the review that the dog park is hit or miss.
I agree that there are definitely "regulars" that attend and all know each other. I try to be friendly, but I can feel there is a clique. I would recommend going on off hours or being extra attentive to your dog.
