Nothing short of family and pet friendly!
Hampton Inn Columbia I-26 Harbison BlvdWe booked this on a whim, somewhat scared of the no pet fee but reading the wonderful reviews, we took a chance. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!!!! The lake to walk the dog, amazing. The front desk staff, wonderful. There were activities for the kids to do at breakfast and they hid elves around the common areas for the kids to find and receive a treat! The rooms were clean, no odor. The rooms were decent sizes and allowed room for 2 adults, 2 children, and a golden to roam with space. This will be a must stop spot for all of our travel that way!!! We never heard a dog, though we saw many walking around, the hotel was quiet.

Hampton Inn are the way to go....
Hampton Inn & Suites HuntersvilleWe stopped in on our way home to help break up the trip. Again, no pet fee made us skeptical but we gave it a shot. Upon check-in we met Corral. She was beyond kind and accommodating! The hotel is close to many restaurants and walking distance from a cook out, bojangles, dunkin donuts, and a pizza place (and short drive to many restaurants). The hotel was clean, quiet, and the rooms were perfect! We had zero issue here and would stay again! There is a big grass area to walk the dog (and we never heard a dog bark the entire time)
