Room good, potty area not so much
Ayres Hotel AnaheimThe room and staff were great. The potty area was tiny and made of crushed granite, which my dogs will not use.
Good Overall
Residence Inn Tustin Orange CountyExcept for a couple of glitches, this was a good place to stay. They weren't able to locate our reservation regarding our late arrival, so they canceled it and had to reinstate it (even though it was prepaid). The potty places are astroturf. One of my dogs rolled on it -- eeewwww!
Great people, great place
Oxford Suites Sonoma CountyWe had to stay at Oxford Suites on short notice twice within 2 weeks. Staff were very welcoming, never mentioned the weight limit (no, our goldens aren't under 30 lbs.!), and provided collapsible water bowls we were able to take with us. The rooms were.roomy and clean. There's a Starbucks in the parking lot, and, for those who are vegetarian, an Amy's drive-thru right across the street. (Amy's always has extra special dog treats!)
Helped Us Out
Sonesta ES Suites Anaheim Resort AreaAfter a different place have canceled our reservation, this hotel gave us a room at 10 in the morning, at no extra charge. The room was clean, and there was plenty of space for us and our dogs.
Counted as No-Show after Promosing to Save Room
La Quinta by Wyndham AnaheimMy elderly mother suffered a fall, 425 miles away. I made a reservation through BringFido, and then called La Quinta to say we would arrive in the morning, hopefully by about 4 AM. The person I spoke with promised they would hold our room. When we arrived at 6:30 am, having driven all night, the person at the desk said I was a no-show. They charged me for the room they promised to hold for me. The BringFido rep was very helpful. She found us another place to stay, just blocks away.
Best Place Ever
The Stanford Inn by the SeaThis is a bit pricey, but it's the best place ever for dog families. Not only can they stay in the room, but they are also welcome at meals. The bar area is set up just like the part that is technically the restaurant, and dogs stay with their people there. (It's entirely vegan, and quite yummy.) The surrounding area has many options for trails or taking dogs to the beach.
Great for Our Extended Stay
La Quinta by Wyndham Coeur d`AleneWe stayed 5 days, so we got a suite. The room as clean and the staff vey helpful. Furniture was dog friendly. There was plenty of room for 2 large crates in the bedroom. Potty areas were small islands of grass in the parking lot, but had bags. There are 3 dog parks nearby.
Great Option for One Night
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham BendThe room was pretty clean, and a great option for just one night. Breakfast was okay. There was a large grassy area in back for taking the dogs out. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was no problem with a midnight check-in.
