Beautiful trails
Caledon State ParkThis park is a favorite mine for the area. You don't see pets on the trails too often, but patrons do a good job cleaning after them when they do. There are campsites available and there is access to the river via some of the gravel trails. $3 to park.

Good low traffic trail through King George, VA
Dahlgren Railroad Heritage TrailIf you're looking for a quiet and scenic walk through the county, this is a great place to check out. This rails-to-trails path is not maintained often, but the gravel trail still is a lot of fun and great if you want to avoid the crowds.
