Located in a dog friendly space

Whidbey Island Bagel Factory is located inside of The Loft.

While you can't have your dog inside of the bakery, The Loft has indoor tables between the various shops that are dog friendly.

Making this one of maybe two places in Oak Harbor/Whidbey Island that has a dog friendly, indoor space.

I was able to grab a tasty late lunch and latte and then sit inside of The Loft (looking into the Bagel Factory) with my dog.

Also! If you're allergic to dairy/vegan the bagels, are vegan friendly. They do have bagels covered in cheese which aren't. They don't seem to have a vegan cream cheese but they have sandwiches. They also have almond and soy milk for dairy free/vegan lattes.

Dog tolerant at best

We had to leave our original hotel when a hurricane evacuation was extended another day (they got booked up).

We ended up here after finding it on BringFido (this was before Connie's review).

This hotel is dog tolerant at best. I'm giving it two stars instead of one, hurricanes count as extenuating circumstances. I'd like to believe that they'd have been more welcoming and accommodating had it been a normal, non-hurricane situation.

Evacuation haven

We stayed here when we evacuated for a hurricane.

We booked day of and were able to get a dog friendly room. They were super lovely, and had dog treats next to the front desk when we entered.

Like most places, dogs aren't allowed in the indoor dining area or the pool. They were allowed in the foyer as well as the other outdoor spaces.

Given the evacuation, there were many other folks with dogs. It was a bit hectic but the staff handled it beautifully.
