Awful hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Lakeland WestHotel worst we have stayed in in many years but treated our Fido fine. Hotel very old. One key did not work. No TV remote, took 1/2 hour to get another. One lamp did not work & not because bad bulb. One wall lamp did not work. Quite a few small dark bugs flying around inside the room. Turned out lights with wall switch & TV went off. Toilet seat would not stay up.
Madison
Staybridge Suites Madison East an IHG HotelVery friendly overall dog experience. We’re able to leave dog in room unattended while we were out for a few hours. Walking area okay. Not fantastic.
Tampa south
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa Bay Area-Tampa SouthDog friendly but 2 problems: very, very little decent area for relief and on a very busy street. Parking is awful, very narrow spots & not enough of them. Do not plan to return.
Adequate at best
Best Western Ocala Park CentreRooms are small. Hallways smell musty. Only one elevator for 4 floor building with about 140 rooms - long waits. Minimal grassy areas for walking dog. Better options in the area.
Treated very well
Delta Hotels by Marriott Baltimore NorthReception desk fellow was wonderful & got us off to great start. Room large & comfortable. Restaurant right next door - had good quality dinner & breakfast with our dog outdoors. Will definitely return.
Near Richmond
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond-MidlothianVery good. Very pet friendly. Good location. Have been there before & will likely return.
First time but anticipate will repeat
Hilton Garden Inn BeaufortExcellent hotel. Clean & bright. Room was terrific. Plenty of open green areas adjacent for walking dog. 5 minute walk to Starbucks.
Valdosta
Drury Inn & Suites ValdostaFantastic hotel & excellent for dogs. Many restaurants in the area. We had diner delivered.
Bugs
Red Roof Inn HelenKilled several bugs. Bed squeaked terribly thus hard for wife to sleep. Very small. Bathroom. Dingy room. Basically a dump. Based on my research only hotel in the town that allows dogs & this may explain why we saw very few other dogs in the town. Anyone with Knowledge & a dog would not stay in this town.
A favorite
Aloft Chapel HillOur second time here, this time for 2 nights. Bright & cheery lobby & room. Excellent dog friendly restaurant right next door. Wonderful walking trail very close. Been to Chapel Hill many times & this is now definitely our favorite hotel.
