Sketchy and Scary Place

The first clue that we were not in a good place was when we checked into our room and saw the duct tape holding the AC unit together. We asked for another room which was slightly better.
However, that night someone was running what sounded like a generator several rooms down. We alerted the front office. It was extremely loud and continued all night. We also noticed when we took our dog to the pet area that people were scaling the fence and entering the facility. That made us uneasy. The final clincher came at 2 am when there was a domestic disturbance outside our room. We didn’t sleep at all and immediately checked out in the morning. We spoke to the manager and told him everything we experienced and that we didn’t feel safe in this motel. He said what we thought was a generator was most likely an AC unit on the fritz. He said he was trying to get security on the site which is very much needed. They do allow dogs which is why we booked the room. If you stay here, you’ll need a dog for protection.
