Perfect Lunch On The Porch With Pooch

Innkeepers and staff were very friendly to our Irish Wolfhound Caoimhe (“Keeva”), offering greetings, petting, and a pan of water.

A perfect September afternoon on the Inn’s porch, as always attentive service and great food—the tastiest focaccia and zucchini bread with whipped butter to start, followed by a very specially seasoned/herbed New England Clam Chowder, and their truly Classic Burger (perfect grind of very flavorful beef for exceptional toothsomeness) with fries (extra crispy today) and coleslaw (fresh but not my preferred preparation).

Sadly, no room for desert this time but we will definitely return—with or without the dog—for their Bread Pudding (of which I’m fairly certain they crisp the sides in butter) with Nelson’s Ice Cream, and their decadent Chocolate Gateau with the molten ganache center.
