Reasonable location and accomodations

La Quinta by Wyndham Round Rock North

Nothing fancy but good for a nights stay.

Red Roof - Oxford okay

Red Roof Inn & Suites Oxford

Convenient location though noisy as one would expect so close to the highway. In addition to what sounded like someone playing an electric guitar and the snoring from the room below, I'm glad I had my ear plugs. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant upon check-in and the entry was clean. Some new paint throughout would do wonders for the nice sized room. Small bathroom, but clean and overall a comfortable room. The reason for 3 bones rather than 4, with 30 minutes still remaining of the breakfast time, we discovered after making a waffle that there was no butter, they ran out of syrup, milk and we squeezed out the last of the coffee. One typically chooses a stay based upon the price and what is offered in that price, which fell short in this particular stay.

Shreveport Motel 6 location NOT a good choice.

Motel 6 Shreveport LA

Upon booking, we were told we would need to pay the hotel $10 upon arrival because we have what is considered a large dog (though more like a mid-sized). Not a problem for us and we were happy to pay the $10. First impression is the outside looked decent and then it went downhill from there. My husband went to check in, paid the $10 as required to a man sitting with his bare feet propped up on the desk, who never smiled and appeared grouchy. Air conditioning was apparently on the fritz in the hallways and entry, but at least the rooms have their own units. Upon walking in the room, it smelled like cat urine and was awful trying to sleep through the smell. Though we were grateful to have a room with a microwave and fridge, we had no lamps, only overhead bright lights. The towels were so thin you could see through them and the pillows were extremely flat. For the most part, the room itself was okay and the bed was a little soft and damp feeling so close to the air conditioner unit. We've stayed at many Motel 6 locations of which most have ben updated, however, this is at the bottom of the list and we would NOT stay here again.

San Marcos location

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

These rooms are accessed separately via their own outside door entrances, not through an interior lobby. Rooms appear to be upgraded fairly recently which was neat and clean. Air conditioner was a little noisy. There are two different areas to walk the dog. The small area was pretty bare and you could see it could get muddy easily. The area on the other side near the pool had much more grass and better suited to walk your fur baby. People however need to do a better job of cleaning up after their dog. No excuse as they have bags if you forgot your own. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Five Bones La Quinta San Antonio

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Downtown

Upgraded La Quinta in great location to walk to River Walk. Clean, large suite with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Best coffee at any of the hotels visited in 3 weeks of travel. Our 4-legged companion was very comfortable and we found great dog friendly restaurants.
