Great Place to Stop
Dog World Dog ParkThis place is fantastic. They make sure dogs are vaccinated and behaviorally tested. There are color codes on the collars so you can identify seniors, unaltered, or dogs with a bold play style. The staff is walking the grounds to keep things clean and safe. The rules make sure dogs with all different play styles have a good time. We didn't see it but understand there is an option for reactive dogs. I would highly recommend stopping there on a road trip with pups to make sure they sleep well.

The real deal!
Bayou BakeryThere are many places that say they have southern food, most miss the mark. Bayou Bakery has great fare at reasonable prices. Super dog friendly area.. nice place to grab lunch or brunch with the pups.

convenient location
Red Roof Inn EnfieldThis was conveniently located, off the highway and near shops. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff was efficient for check in and check out. Two drawbacks, the place to walk my dogs had some broken glass they almost stepped on and the AC for the room was old and really loud. This is a solid place for an overnight, but not for more than that.
