Plaza Inn Los Mochis Mexico
Hotel Plaza InnWe always stay here when we drive from California to out house in Puerto Vallarta. Very dog friendly. Nice size rooms. Great price for the room. Good restaurant at the motel. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Update: New company bought this hotel?? Reserved a king suite- only got a regular king, but still charged for a king suite. No refrigerator, and the refrigerator that they brought us full of mold. No hot water at all for the shower. Only about 1/2 of the items listed as coming with the room- not there. All new staff- front desk were OK but the rest of the staff not friendly.

We got what we asked for in our reservation. Friendly staff at the front desk. Room clean.
Baymont by Wyndham TehachapiUsually when we stay here we have a good experience with our Golden Retrievers. This time when we checked in- we had a room with a king size bed reserved through Bring Fido- well we got a room with 2 double beds. When I went to the front desk, I was told that the dog friendly rooms only had double beds, but that there were 2 dog friendly rooms with king sized beds, but they were both reserved for that evening. The person at the front desk had a take it or leave it attitude. Funny- we have stayed there 5 times before and have had 5 different rooms with a king sized bed. New policy?? But one thing that really bothered us was that there was dog stool all over the property- mostly stool from small dogs. Come on dog owners- clean up after your pets- it is not that hard. There are trash barrels at every door to deposit your stool bags in. No wonder alot of hotels don't allow dogs anymore.

OK for a Motel 6
Motel 6 Palm Springs CA - East - Palm CanyonThis place is fine for Motel 6. Small rooms- but they work for a one night stdy. Large grassy area for the dogs. Staff is very friendly. However- we find Palm Springs to be a not so friendly dog town compared to alot of California. Great dog friendly restaruant- bar up the street aways- Smokin Burgers- good food and cocktails.

Quality Hotel Americana NogalesRooms are fine for a one night stay with the dogs. The old western town of Tubac, Arizona is nearby for good restaurants and a very dog friendly town.

We Love This Place
Cayucos Beach InnNice facility- large rooms- very dog friendly. The whole town and beach is dog friendly. Close to some great wineries also!! We will be back for sure

Ridgecrest California
Super 8 by Wyndham RidgecrestFirst of all, Ridgecrest California is an armpit of a town. It seems that most of the people of the town were morbidly overweight or scary crank skinny. The people staying at the Super 8 were the same way. The woman working the front desk was very helpful and friendly- even though she put us into a non-dog room and we had to move after we unpacked. Bath towels were still wet, and the wash cloth had what appeared to be racing stripes on it, if you know what I mean. Lack of good restaurants in the town that were dog friendly.
