Run, Relieve and Relax (R3)
Zoey's Dog ParkI have always stopped in Lone Pine to fill-up with gas (Shell) on our way up to Mammoth Lakes. Noticed the fenced gating, so we stopped. This is a great place to stop and let our dogs run, play, relieve themself and relax from the drive. There is a small parking lot, but since we were towing a travel trailer, we had to park on the side of the road. There is a small dog side and a large dog side. At the time of the review, there were waste bags available and a water spigot/water bucket for them to drink out of if you desire. A great place for our dogs.
Beer, Patio and Doggies
Liberty Sports Bar and GrillCame down the hill while camping to watch some Monday night football. Dogs are welcome in their patio. Asked for a couple of hamburger patties for the dogs.
Lunch on the Patio
Roberto's CafeThanks to BringFido, we found this dog friendly restaurant. We were quickly seated outside in the patio. Host brought our two dogs 'ice' water, and always checked on us. Server was friendly. Ask about their dog meal offering. Good food and large portions. Will return again.
A brew of a place
Distant BrewingNothing better than having your pups and enjoying a cold beer. There were dogs everywhere on the patio, so they allowed us to sit inside.
Sweating in the Patio
Rock & BrewsPet friendly, staff brought a bowl of water. Wished waiter would of provided their doggie menu. Patio was so hot. Tried to move to a table under water mister, but he said it was reserved, but the group never showed up.
A Brewery and Mess Hall
The Brews HallI had noticed this place prior to them having their Opening. Also looking for another Dog Friendly restaurant in the area. Happy to know they had an outdoor patio, so we had asked first. So, they allow pets in their patio. This place is first a brewery with a full bar on one side of the restaurant and you can order food from the other side. The bar has more beer selections than the food side. Plenty of seating inside to watch the current sports. Outdoor patio seating is bench style with heaters for those colder days and evenings. At the time of this review, they do not have community water bowl for the pets, so bring your own water bowl for now. Happy Hour: Monday – Friday 3-6pm.
Dog Friendly Patio, Bad service
Portuguese Bend DistillingWhile in the area and with our canine, we searched for a dog friendly restaurant. We found Portuguese Bend and sat outside in their patio as the staff confirmed they were indeed dog friendly. One of the staff had offered a dog bowl and water for our dog. We had ordered the Tempura Green Beans, Prohibition Italian Beef, Southern Fried Chicken, a soda (Coke) and the Chocolate shake. We got the green beans, soda and a water. Waiter (JD) said the shake will be a few minutes as he had to make it. Finally, the Fried Chicken and Italian Beef came, but no Chocolate shake yet. I had eaten half my sandwich, asked Waiter (JD) about the shake, he said; when he had time, he will make the shake. Now I am upset! As I stared him in the eye, he seemed upset, kinda stormed inside. Few minutes later he showed up with the shake. The BAD, he didn’t say he sorry for it being late, wasn’t completely blended, NO whipped cream and NO cherry as described in their menu. Bad service and will NOT recommend!
Fall Camping at Doheny
Doheny State Beach CampgroundThis place get busy during the summer months and we finally got reservations in the fall. Doheny is a ‘Dry’ campground. They have a few water spigots, two restrooms with token operated showers, each site had picnic tables and fire pits. The attraction is camping next to the beach for surfing, swimming, fishing, sand play for kids and allowed to have your dog while on a leash. We did not plan on cooking, so having restaurants and fast foods nearby was great. Only thing I didn’t like was the sites were not angled and the road was narrow. The waste dump is outside of the campground. Some owners walked their dog without a leash. There were some rabbits and squirrels to keep my dog interested.
Hawaiian theme foods
Stacks Pancake HouseA friend recommended this place and their Macadamia Nut Banana Pancakes. Plenty of parking at the back-parking lot and on the street. We opt for the patio since we have our dog. At Stacks, you go inside to order your food, then search for a table. We also ordered the Strawberry n Cream pancakes and coffee. I enjoyed the Mac Nut pancakes, the strawberries were fresh not frozen type on the pancakes. Bacon was crispy and tasty. The girls run the food out, pickup plates and topped off your coffee.
A Patio, BBQ and Music
Rib Joint RoadhouseThought we would try the BBQ place as they have a patio seating that allowed our dog. It was a cold evening and a reason why we were the only ones out there. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had ordered the Family Feast for two (half Chicken, Spareribs, Beef Ribs, Baby Back ribs, Corn on the Cobb, Cornbread, French Fries and Salad Bar). Our dog was treated with a beef rib. When our order came, I didn’t realize how much food there was. I like the meaty spareribs and beef ribs. The Baby Back ribs were overcooked and dry. Our waitress brought out water for our dog. We brought home enough food for the following day. Parking lot was small and tight.
Patio section for dogs
Wind and SeaWhile staying in Dana Point with our dog, you have to select restaurant that has an outdoor patio and allows them. The Wind & Sea has a designated patio area for dogs, but no community welcoming doggie water bowl, lucky we always bring water and a bowl for our dog. There are about six round tables with umbrellas. We ordered the Fried Calamari, Fish n’ Chips and the Seafood Pasta (with wine sauce). The food was good, seating outside with harbor view was good with great weather that day. They are not setup as to order doggie items.
Doggie, Patio and Patty
Schwack Beach GrillWe were staying in Dana Point for the weekend with our dog, so looked for restaurants with a patio and allowed dogs. As we drove around, we found Shwack Beack Grill, as they have a patio. As we walked up, they had a water bowl in the patio. We asked to make sure our dog was allowed and they welcomed her. We had ordered the Low Tide Turkey Burger, Gnarly Nachos, and a burger patty for our dog. The three of us enjoyed our food and our time in the patio.
Good Food and Service
Carla's Country Kitchen and Gift ShopWe had traveled to Morro Bay for a short getaway with our dog. We had walked past Carla’s a couple of times, noticed they had a patio, but they seemed closed, until we found out they were only open for breakfast and lunch. One morning we walked to Carla’s. We were seated in the patio, but asked if they could fire up the heater. They quickly served us our coffee and brought our dog a bowl of water, how nice. Our server was attentive to check up on us frequently. They have the basic dog rules to abide to. While enjoying our breakfast, the staff always check on us and kept our coffee cup filled, a plus in my book. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as, the patio. Plenty of customers the weekday we were there. Would dine with them again when we return.
A patio and fried Seafood
Giovanni's Fish MarketGiovanni's has a large public patio to dine with your dog. A small window to place your order and a small window to pickup your order. A large assortment of items to order from Oysters on the half Shell, Fried Calamari, Chowder to Fish 'n Chips. If you go inside the fish market, then you can get Steamed Dungenes crab and smoked fish.
Patio with a View
Dorn's Original Breakers CafeOkay, they allow you to dine with your dog on their patio, but that is where it ends about your dog. The view is great, the breakfast not bad, but the service wasn't up to par.
Morning Coffee
Top Dog Coffee BarWhile on travel and on an early morning dog walk, I came across this coffee house. Ordered a large Latte, Bagel with Cream Cheese. Taste was typical, no fancy design on the froth. They have an outdoor patio in the back with tables and chairs. Place is pet friendly.
Hidden Gem
Jody Giannini Family Dog ParkVisiting the Morro Bay Area with our dog. Leashing walking the Through the shops our dog needed to release energy. Found this dog park on Bringfido. Located behind the tennis courts. I’m the large dog side, there are two water areas, dog waste bags and waste containers. Our dog was able to run and run and run. Thanks to all pet owners in keeping this doggie park clean.
