Needs a little TLC
La Quinta by Wyndham FlorenceSo first off, the loss of a bone here is simply because things like the bathroom and the beds could use maintenance. Had to hold down the handle to flush toilet, and the bedframe was loud when you were getting on and off the bed, or even rolling over. It would squeak and pop, so kind of annoying. Otherwise it's a decent place. No real worries about safety, and the rooms and lobby were nice and clean. There were fresh cookies at the front desk and the employees were pleasant enough. A little TLC and this could easily be a 5 bone place.
Place is good enough
Comfort Suites LumbertonIt's difficult to say if the fleas came from the dog area or the room, however it did have a bit of a flea issue. That aside, the room is a good size, so overall acceptable for a quick overnight stay. Just be sure to bring something for the fleas.
Absolutely beautiful place
Seaview, a Dolce HotelThe place is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The staff very friendly. Rooms well kept and clean. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is there's additional fees. Parking $18/night plus tax. Resort fee $20/night plus tax. Unloading/loading the car they really push you to use the bell service and valet parking.
OK place
Spring Lake Inn & Suites - FayettevilleThe people were friendly enough. The room clean enough, but definitely showing its age. The shower was very odd and obviously the controls needed to be replaced. Beds a bit worn and springs noise. The area though is great with a lot of dining options.
Excellent bayfront hotel
Comfort Suites Clearwater - DunedinClean rooms! Well kept and maintained. You can tell that the employees care about the place. Wendy, the front desk person that checked us in, really goes out of her way. She remembered our dog's name, has treats, and is a Rockstar at the hotel.
Never again
Best Western Executive InnThe first room had poop on the carpet and linens were obviously not replaced after the last people had checked out. We switched rooms just to be put into a room that smelled so bad that it was like spending the night in a dirty dog kennel. If it wasn't for the fact we were so tired, we would have left and went to another hotel.
Great location for traveling with pups
Candlewood Suites St Clairsville an IHG HotelThe hotel staff were as friendly as could be. Always greeted us with a smile. Hotel was clean, and given that it's made more extended stays, each room had a mini kitchen, full sized fridge, etc. Decent free coffee 24/7 in the pantry. Also since it's more designed for extended stays, there's no included breakfast, but there plenty of affordable breakfast and other food items available for purchase. All in all, we would most certainly return to this hotel.
Great spot for you and your pets
La Quinta by Wyndham Clearwater SouthThis is another great La Quinta inn. It's right off the highway, easy access to Clearwater, Tampa, St. Petersburg. The rooms were clean, the AC worked very well, and the dog walk area was close to the side entrance by the pool so there was not a lot of hot blacktop that our dog needed to walk over to go to the bathroom.
Wasn't terrible, but not exceptional
Red Roof Inn Florence Civic CenterIt was old, worn down, rooms were showing their age. No fridge, no microwave, but good enough to lay a head down for a night.
Will probably look elsewhere next time
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Olean/AlleganyThe room was ok and had great water pressure. Draining though was a different story. Everything, including the toilet backed up easily. We were room 200 which as it turns out is next to the elevator/maintenance room. The room is smaller then any other room we have ever stayed in at a Microtel mostly because the maintenance room uses a large portion of the space and all you hear all night, non stop is the elevator. The toilet backed up, went down to the front desk and was handed a plunger that was obviously very recently (it was dripping wet) used and wrapped in one of the small plastic garbage bags. If you end up booking here, make sure you do not get room 200.
A good spot to stay.... but not exceptional....
Hyatt Place Louisville EastWhen we checked in, we were not assigned a pet room. They seemed to have no idea we needed a pet room and had us assigned a non pet room. Thankfully I had asked when we checked in to make sure we were assigned a pet friendly room and they were able to accommodate. I can only imagine what would have happened if we checked in and they didn't have any room available.
The Hotel accommodations were good, the staff friendly. They only have coffee available in the morning starting at around 6:30am.
Yes I understand with Covid things are strange, but still other hotels have managed a way to have something fresh for breakfast.
This is the place to stay in Madison OH
Hampton Inn MadisonWith or without a pet, this is just a wonderful place to stay.
The people are welcoming, and really go out of their way for you. The place is clean, and looks brand new, and they are constantly cleaning everything.
