hotel dog friendly but not a dog-friendly hotel

The hotel accepted pets but put us on the 4th floor. It also has no outside parking, so trying to unload all of the dog-related things in front of a valet isn't great. Also, there are very few areas around the hotel that aren't sidewalks or roads....so very few potty areas. I found a back stairway I could take the dogs down to the street, avoiding the elevators, which was nice, especially at 4 a.m. It was great that they accepted them, but, logistically, it's not a great option.
