Lovely Experience

I came to La Quinta to have a quiet spot to work on my doctoral dissertation for a few days, as my house is rather loud. While there were a few moments of noisiness [though this was NOT La Quinta's fault-- they have no control over obnoxiously loud families], overall it was a nice, quiet, and very productive couple of days. My doggo, Sir Fenway von Boopenschtein [Fenway or Sir Boop for short] was nervous when we first got here, as he is a slightly neurotic [but well behaved!] rescue who is fearful of new stuff at first. The staff was observant of that and put us in a first floor room near the door so he wouldn't have to go too far or ride in an elevator to go out, which we both appreciated. All of the staff were kind and helpful to me and Sir Boop. The room is quite spacious for one person and her small pupper and was very clean. There are several convenience/grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. They do give you a code for a $0 delivery fee for DoorDash but don't use it. The service is awful- the dude gave my food to someone else! GrubHub is WAY better! Anyway, I got a TON of work done and it helped my stress level to have Fenway with me. 10/10 would stay here again for a writing retreat. I live about 15 minutes away, so that's the only reason I'd need a hotel room. My experience here would also make me likely to stay at an LQ in other cities as well. Definitely recommend!
