Good location, a little rundown
Baymont by Wyndham Bartonsville PoconosWe booked at the Baymont Inn mostly for the location. Our room was a little rundown but mostly clean... We heard dog food moving in the bowl in the middle of the night and spotted a mouse picking out pieces and running back to the corner! We could have used bigger garbage cans or known where to dispose of takeout containers. The Lounge was a convenient dinner option — the food is pretty good! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was fine for a couple nights, nice and quiet, and we slept well. So can't complain too much since there weren't many pet-friendly options in the area.
Barely satisfactory
Super 8 by Wyndham KingstonThe hotel itself is fine, clean enough for a cheap room. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, but we stayed here based on location off the thruway. The person who checked me in was rather unfriendly when I came in. We had to take our pup for a walk in the middle of the night, and there were people hanging around in/outside the lobby. It seemed a little sketchy.
Just FYI for dog owners: I was told that if your dog barks, they could kick you out with no refund. I’m assuming that means excessive barking that would generate a complaint. We would have been nervous by that warning if our dog wasn’t so quiet.
Nice location, quiet in the off-season
Riveredge ResortHotel was welcoming for our dog, and location on the water provides good views. Building feels a bit dated, and only a few restaurants and shops in town are open after summer is over, which is too bad since the food from the lounge was disappointing. A fine stay for a night.
