Pet friendly, friendly staff, but ...

I greatly appreciate this motel is pet friendly and that the front staff was friendly, but unfortunately both my pup and I had trouble sleeping during our stay. The thin walls and the fact that parking was literally a few steps from your door meant lots of sounds...which my dog did not like and kept him growling and in verge of barking throughout the night. What finally worked (at least for a few hours) was keeping the AC/fan running (loud) plus loud ambient sounds on my phone in an attempt to drown outside sounds. I also had to constantly keep my dog close to me in bed so he would remain calm. Overall the place was ok, grass area clean for the most part but no trash can in sight. My room was clean except holes in the sheets (shrugs); typical motel room setting overall.
