$350 Gone

My wife, my 13 yo Chocolate Lab and myself drove 3 1/2 hrs to motel. The wife and I had booked a show in Lititz. We left the room to go to the show. Leaving our 13 yo Lab in the room. When we arrived at the show I received a call from the motel saying they had a complaint about my dog barking. This seemed very very unusual because Lady travels with us quite a bit. I went back to the motel immediately. I was told by the front desk clerk that there policy was you cannot leave the room and leave your pet alone.

When I arrived no barking NONE! I stood outside the room for twenty minutes. No barking. I think the very young immature desk clerk should have handled it a little better. First off, our door was only three doors away from the front desk. Did he hear any barking? One or two barks or repeated? The latter I highly doubt. Had the hotel had a responsible adult at the front desk I think the situation would have been handled much differently! We missed our show. Since it was sold out we were given only a partial refund. Which is very acceptable. Thank You General Sutter Inn. So between room, loss of money from show, gas, tolls and food to eat out. $350 GONE!!!! Not to mention 2 days. Will never stay at or recommend this motel to any pet owner!!!!
