Desk was very accommodative

Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento South Natomas

It is something of an "L" shaped building, but has dog do-do areas at both ends. There is a massive manicured green grass area that goes all the way around (on 3 sides) that's excellent for doggies. Just get a room on ground floor near either end but that probably means the right side since the left is conference rooms, especially poolside not Hwy 5 side as our room was VERY quiet despite the freeway being close. It's very quiet anyway since the area is largely office buildings that are vacant at night. Easy freeway access. A good doggie hotel. Hey, they have a restaurant and small bar and snack stand, what's not to like. Big pool. Not sure why it was so empty, but very few people were there at the time. I'd give it 5 bones, but it's not really a 5-bone hotel, and is pricy compared to others that are probably just as nice and closer to attractions. Still, I liked it a lot.

La Quinta SLO

La Quinta by Wyndham San Luis Obispo

I suppose they gave us the best room they could for dogs (1st floor is a garage), 2nd floor and near the stair exit, but there is no pet area on the property. It's a walk across a 4 lane street, or down the block to what is a nice hidden creek area for pet doings. Otherwise, it's a great hotel, better breakfast than most, roof top pool with a view (small but again a great view), fresh rooms, and the restaurant next door fabulous. San Luis Obispo has one of the best dog parks ever at Laguna Lake (just down the road from Madonna Inn exit on Hwy 101, acres and acres with water and restrooms, lots of Doggies. Lots of dogs stay there though.

La Quinta Paso Robles

La Quinta by Wyndham Paso Robles

We had an easy out to the pet area, although dog walking from there is a dog walk to nowhere particularly. There's not much of Dog interest right around as it is off Hwy 46 a bit a ways from good dog walking. As to the hotel, very clean/nice/good pool. They do have a 1'st floor if you are lucky enough to get one there as the stairs are on the far ends, elevators in the middle, so not every room is convenient. Fine breakfast and decor. NO charge for pets! Paso does have an extremely nice dog park that is a bit of a 2 mile drive, Sherwood Dog Park. Worth going to. 4 1/2 star dog park, big, two areas, newish, well maintained, shade/sun,water/woodchips,,etc

Jacks peak county park

Jacks Peak Park

Stunning views, plenty of easy trails and picnic tables, but I would caution about 4 days after I went hiking there in shorts I was diagnosed with Lyme disease which is very rare, but is from diseased tick bites. Good thing I went to the doctor right away. Yes, a good doggie park.

Casa Munras Hotel

Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa

Very Dog Friendly. Staff was excellent. Treats in Lobby. Dogs OK in outdoor large heated outdoor patio part of restaurant and various places inside hotel. Rooms were large and nice. No microwave (not a suite type), but quiet, large heated pool (no outdoor spa) but was a very affordable near resort feel place. Only 6 blocks or so from the Monterey Wharf.
Enjoyed happy hour with tappas and they have a full dog menu also!

Good for doggies, otherwise.. a few issues

Hotel Current

The Wi-fi non-functional and they couldn't really fix it. It was difficult even get connected, and even then, just says "loading" and no bandwidth to do even simple things. Also, per the covid, no breakfast (although in the past that was great), no maid service, and limited pool time by appointment which wasn't really a problem (even nice in some ways, not crowded).

3peaksresort good for doggies

3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club

While the onsite doggie areas are sparse near nothing, just out back and to the sides are plenty of spaces, and doggie bags. There is some carpet in rooms. Very quiet place, and the area and in general South Lake has plenty of beautiful dog walk areas and actually 6 dog beaches (although all a short drive from the hotel). Yeah, it's $25 per dog/per night. I'd say all accomidations in S. Lake Tahoe are less than you might expect in reality, but no complaints. The bears or ?? hit the garbage cans every night outside.
