Plymouth Meeting - Extended Stay

I have utilized Extended Stay facilities elsewhere in the US. Especially in Wooster, MA. I have never encountered any problems.

Our stay in Plymouth was not satisfactory at all. The check-in was terrible. There were a group of young women behind the check-in area who were not behaving professionally at all. The person who attended to me was downright rude - bordering on hostile. I have no idea what her problem was. I can honestly say in all my travels - extensive worldwide for 50 + years I have never been treated that was. There young women did not appear to be trained or managed in hotel and restaurant skills. Certainly not in how to interact with customers. Later while unloading my luggage there were are group of them outside the front entrance of the hotel. They were playing around and being somewhat out of control with each other. It made for a very bad impression with myself and other customers. It is not the kind of thing you see staff doing - even if they might have been off duty.

My immediate thought was that this facilities has management issues of problems. I have not idea who might have been in charge, but these individuals did not appear to be aware of how you conduct yourself in this situation. They acted like high schoolers who were put in charge of something far beyond their capacity.

The room was satisfactory. The elevator from the garage level to the main hotel was not functioning properly. Staff was not helpful. Many customer who arrived with families, dogs and lots of luggage had to ultimately use the stairs. Again no staff was made available for these people and not signage was available to inform people there was a problem.

I expect more from Extended Stay. Sadly in this case it was not present. I will not be using this facility (Plymouth Meeting) again and will warn my friends and family of same.
