Limited options
Paradise InnThere were very limited options in this area. Paradise Inn was very clean, secure, & check in was easy. There were many places to walk my dog safely. The hotel interior is extremely outdated but clean. The bedding could use a major overhaul: mattress, pillows, sheets, blanket, & comforter were all very old. A comfortable bed is a priority of mine.
Good location
Econo Lodge Battleboro - Rocky Mount I-95We needed an overnite stop between Florida & New York, & Rocky Mount works. We have an older dog so prefer a ground floor unit with direct access to outdoors. Econo Lodge offered that. There were not many restaurants etc to choose from, but we were there less than 12 hours, so that didn’t matter. The hotel is old & the bed covers had stains on them. Next time I would probably choose another location at a different exit.
Nice pet-friendly hotel
Microtel Inn by Wyndham WilsonWe made a last minute/same day reservation on BringFido as we made better time than we had anticipated on our FL/NY drive with our dog. This hotel was available so we took it. Registration and pre-payment was done online, so check-in was easy. Our room key card had to be re-programmed 3 times before it worked and the exterior hallway door never did work. But the room was fine, both beds comfortable, and the bathroom immaculately clean. That’s all that we wanted....a pet-friendly, safe, clean place to spend one night. I will say that the complimentary breakfast paled in comparison to Best Western or other hotels that include a hot breakfast. But there was cereal, yogurt, pastries etc. Given so many hotels at that location, I would probably select another next time.
