Loralee
My dog, Rosie, a Standard Poodle, has been part of our family since October. 2013. My late husband, Ed, and I drove from Oklahoma to Houston TX to pick her up at a remarkably fine shelter for Poodles after losing our mother-and-daughter Standard Poodles within a year of each other. Rosie is now almost 8 years old, and still full of "spit and vinegar," I'm now a widow (my husband died in 2014), and I moved to Albuquerque NM two years ago from Oklahoma, where he had served as a Presbyterian minister. She and I have traveled a great deal together. Probably our longest and most adventurous journey was a month-long road trip from Oklahoma to Ontario in the Spring of 2017, to clear my head from the wild and weird presidential election of 2016. (It didn't work.) Now I'm quietly "sheltering in place" for the CoronaVirus pandemic of 2020. And Rosie is great company for that. My work, incidentally, since 1977, has been as a storyteller, so if you need a good story, let me know. (storyspinning@sbcglobal.net).

Stayed here twice
Creole Gardens Guesthouse and InnSo glad we found this delightful "vintage" Creole Gardens. Our first stay was with our daughter, her husband, and their children, and our Standard Poodle. Later, our grandson informed his parents that "it was the best place to stay!" His mother says he'll be expecting every B&B to meet the standards based on the nights we stayed at Creole Gardens. Our dog enjoyed her stay as well. THANKS!
Good place to go
Bud Warren and Lady Dog ParkMy Dog Park friend and I enjoy bringing our dogs to this park. She has an English Sheepdog and I have a Standard Poodle.
There's plenty of room for the dogs--and the people too--to run or walk. Water is available at two entrances (there are three entrances to the park), and there are several benches for humans--and some dogs--to relax on. Shade in places. Some nice wooded areas.
