Red Roof Inn & Suites Pensacola East MiltonUgh. This place is old, in disrepair, wreaked of mold and mildew with big stains on the bathroom ceiling, mismatched sheets, really bare-bones (no pun intended). Truthfully, not even good enough for a dog. If not for the last night on a long cross country trip, we'd have left. Have had good luck with other BringFido.com places, but this one needs to come off the list. Cigarette butts everywhere in the grass, trash all over the deck surrounding the dirty pool. Front desk gal was nice enough but her own children were running up and down the halls screeching. I cut her some slack because of the need to have your kids at work during this COVID thing, but lots of noise and odd comings and goings literally all night long. Seriously this place looks like one that rents its rooms by the hour.

best doggie stop so far
Days Inn by Wyndham Fort StocktonOn a long trip coast to coast, the nicest place we stayed. Super friendly staff, nice ground floor room, easy in and out for the pup with plenty of nice grass close by. Solid floor, no carpeting, and super comfy beds! Front desk guy even sheepishly admitted I had paid quite a bit over their normal rate by paying thru BringFido.com....oh well, it was a good recommendation and still a good value for the money. Easy on and off freeway, super clean room, parking right in front of our room...all the things we look for!

Super cute, quiet & clean
Hotel McCoy - Art Coffee Beer WineUnique little place. Small but adequate room had everything we needed. Artsy murals and decor, spotlessly clean and GREAT bed. Hard floor and no carpet...
great for pup. Only downside is no grass in sight...but hey, it is after all the desert. Easy on and off freeway. In a semi light industrial area but safe enough to head out for a walk. Tiny little pet relief area. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Other amenities not available due to COVID restrictions. Good value for the $$.

just OK
La Quinta by Wyndham Houston Baytown EastPlace was okay. Room was nice and clean but unfortunately they would not give me a first-floor room which I had specifically requested and had contacted the hotel directly to reinforce this. It was very obvious that the hotel was not full. It just seemed like too Big an inconvenience for them to put me on the first floor. Rooms with carpeting when you're traveling with a pet are just not my favorite. Hotel had lots of grass area close by for the dog, so that was nice. Pretty good location which drug store and fast food close by, right off the freeway, but room was still very quiet.
