Filthy

I have stayed at Motel 6s before and they weren't like this. Bathroom was filthy, our feet were sticking to the floor. Toilet seat is not put on very well, so I almost fell off haha. We have pot contact high and the guests are so loud, it sounds like they are moving furniture. There is a HUGE pile of poop outside that looks too big to be from a dog. They have sliding doors to go out to the parking lot, which had a bar on there for "safety." At least I could keep checking on my car. Just sayin'. Couldn't get out of there fast enough! The only reason that I gave this one bone is because the guy that checked us in was delightful.

Scary place

We checked in to the Mystic Inn and Suites. The door was locked and there was only one guest. The woman came to the desk after she unlocked the door and she was in her pajamas. She gives us the key and we are way back in the middle of nowhere. We get into the room and there is no TV and no phone. It was a cross between the Bates and hotel and The Shining. Needless to say, we checked out and went 2 doors down to the Hampton Inn. I just didn't feel safe there.

Nice rooms

Had a great room except the bed was very squeaky. Dog relief area is across the parking lot so it's kind of far to go if you have to go in the middle of the night. The staff is great.

Hotel needs work

Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Rooms need a little bit of work like the rug was unraveling, no tissues in the bathroom. The dog area is only about 4 feet wide by 50 feet long, which sucked.

Horrible staff

We showed up at our hotel after driving about 5 hours and they had given away our room, which is guaranteed, so he tells me they only have Queen beds instead of doubles, which is fine. So we go to the room and there's one bed. I go back down there and said we need 2 beds and he says he said he can't do anything about it and I said well you need to do something; you're gonna give me a free room or give me a cot or something and he said he couldn't do that.

One thing led to another and I was trying to be nice and then finally I said this was a bunch of BS because the room was saved for 2 months and they shouldn't have let somebody extend it if the room was booked. So basically he ends up telling me no to everything; this guy was stuffing his face with a sandwich and looked stoned. Then he tells me he wasn't going to listen to me cuss at him and I said I hadn't even begun to cuss. Then he looks at my keys in my hand and tells me to step back from the desk because he was afraid I was going to hurt him with my keys.

I said oh my God they're my keys. So then he asks me if I think I'm always right because I'm the customer and I said yes, I booked this thing 2 months ago and your hotel is incorrect for giving away my room. So one thing led to another and he told me to F off and then he kept calling me an effing B. I'm getting a refund the hotel and they're reporting him. He would not give me the refund for the dog fee which was about $29. Then he starts threatening to call the police and I'm yelling at him to call them. He said he wasn't listening to me anymore and he was gonna go see if there was something else to eat. I'm hoping they fire him.

Key and ice issues

Took us three times to get in the room and they replaced the batteries and we ended up changing rooms anyway. The staff was very helpful though. Another problem is they said they were told 2 months ago that the ice makers were on their last legs and they still never replaced them so there wasn't any ice.

Very nice hotel

Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Loved that it had a very dog park across the street.
